SAB is currently hiring for the following positions:
Development Assistant
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Assistant provides key administrative and data entry support to a department of seven that raises over $4 million annually. The Assistant processes all annual donations and serves as the department’s “office manager” while supporting the Director of Development and Senior Manager of Individual Giving specifically. Responsibilities include gift processing, list management, meeting coordination, prospect research, and other general administrative tasks.
Office experience (development experience preferred) and Bachelor’s Degree required. Busy office; ability to multi-task is key. Must be extremely detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and pleasant phone manner. Excel fluency required; experience with Raisers Edge database strongly preferred.

Finance Assistant (Part time)
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Assistant will provide support to SAB's three-person Finance Department with both on-going activities and special projects. Tasks include assisting with annual budget preparations, producing budget reports, bank and general ledger reconciliations, among other duties. The individual should have strong accounting and reporting skills.
The position is part time, working between 12 and 18 hours a week. (Schedule is flexible)

Director of Institutional Giving
This individual will manage annual fundraising from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Director of Institutional Giving is responsible for developing and writing all proposals to institutional funders; managing stewardship and cultivating relationships with funder representatives; researching, identifying, and cultivating potential new sources of institutional funding, in collaboration with Director of Development, Executive Director, and Board; and maintaining all tracking systems for institutional support, donor records and files, database, and ongoing statistics. The Director oversees a part-time assistant.
Must have 3-4 years development experience, preferably in institutional giving with knowledge of New York area funders, and excellent writing and interpersonal skills. Must be able to juggle both short and long-term projects and function well both autonomously and as member of a team. Proficiency using Raiser’s Edge, FC Search and other research tools essential.
