2009 Audition in Tokyo, Japan
SAB will hold in-person auditions for students of any nationality in Tokyo, Japan, on October 11 & 12, 2009. Those who audition will be considered for admission to the 2010 Summer Course. Students residing in Japan who are unable to attend the Tokyo audition may also audition for the Summer Course by submitting a video application or by attending an audition on the U.S. National Audition Tour or at SAB in New York City.

PLEASE NOTE: Pre-registration is required for the Tokyo auditions. To reserve space in the October 11 or October 12 audition, please send e-mail to sab@kyodotokyo.com and include your NAME, BIRTHDATE, and ADDRESS.
* Students must be no younger than 12-years-old as of June 30, 2010, and no older than 18-years-old as of June 30, 2010, to enroll for the 2010 Summer Course.
The auditions will take place in the rehearsal room at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo. (Enter at the stage door.)

IMPORTANT AUDITION INFORMATION
- Students who wish to audition in Tokyo must reserve space in the audition by sending e-mail to sab@kyodotokyo.com with their name, birthdate, and address.
- All applicants must show official proof of birth at the time of the audition. Only a passport or official government document will be accepted as proof.
- As a general rule, recommendation letters, photographs and resumes are not accepted at auditions.
- Girls must bring pointe shoes to the audition.
- Applicants should arrive at the audition location one hour in advance of the time scheduled for their age group in order to register.
- Girls should wear a solid-color leotard and pink tights to the audition. Boys should wear a plain t-shirt and black tights to the audition.
- The audition will resemble a ballet class with barre and center work. Students do not need to prepare a solo or variation in advance of the audition.
- Observation of auditions is not permitted.
