Auditions for 11 to 18 year olds

All applicants 11-years-old and over are expected to have previous ballet training.   They are auditioned at SAB on the Tuesday following Labor Day. Those accepted begin classes during the same week.  There is a $25 application fee for auditions held at SAB.


Times listed below are general audition start times.  Applicants should call 212-769-6600 to be assigned a specific audition time after July 1, 2008.

• 11 and 12 year olds      Tuesday, September 2, 2008, 4:00 p.m.
• 13 and 14 year olds      Tuesday, September 2, 2008, 5:30 p.m.
• 15 to 18 year olds         Tuesday, September 2, 2008, 6:30 p.m. 

Applicants should bring ballet practice clothes and ballet slippers. Girls aged 13 to 18 must also bring pointe shoes. Applicants are asked to arrive one hour in advance of their audition starting time.

All applicants must show a copy of his or her birth certificate at the time of registration for the audition.
